Nearly the End of Term 2!

Only one more week (7 more sleeps) until the final day of Term 2, next Friday! We have decided to celebrate by having a shared lunch next Thursday 28th June at the start of period 4.

Students are starting their 'A Day in the Life of an Ancient Egyptian...' Scribe/farmer/pharaoh/vizier etc, looking at how that culture operated.
Using oxen to pull a plough

Next term students will be able to branch out a bit more and look at another ancient civilization of their choice - already people are interested in Greek, Roman, Maori, Aztec, Celts, Chinese...the list goes on!

Some nice things happened at KV today: we won the Interschool Competition with Riccarton High School, so have the shield at school now; two teachers said they had been reading our Frogblog and really liked it; almost everybody had completed their homework; J didn't have to be sent out to scrape off her makeup :> and people complimented me on my haircut - all nice stuff, and I'm sure I've missed lots of other nice things too!

So remember, let's end the term on a positive note, not focussing on things we can't change.

Onwards and upwards!
