Nearly September!

Apologies for the big gaps between posts this term - I've had a lot on my plate, starting with a terrible dose of the 'flu and ending with the recent death of my father, after a short illness. It has been a very sad time but it was wonderful to spend a good amount of time with him before he passed away, knowing 8FL were being well looked after by some great relieving teachers.

This week we have handed out the permission/health forms for camp - I hope they have made it home! Once you have had a read of the information please ask questions sooner rather than later so we can clear things up. Camp takes place at the start of Week 3, Term 4. It is always a really fun time, students often challenging themselves to have a go at activities that may sound a bit scary - but then feeling great when they achieve them!

A few weeks ago we also said farewell to our short-stay visitors from Thailand, Ern-Ern, Joshua, Micky, Macky and Pun. I saw them off at the bus station and while they were happy to be heading home, they were also sad to be leaving their new friends. I suspect we will see some of them back next year for a longer study period!
